QUIZ

Objective: Robots in antiquity and through the Middle Ages were used primarily for entertainment. However, the 20th century featured a boom in the development of industrial robots. Through the rest of the century, robots changed the structure of society.                                              The aim of these competitions is to bring out the interests of students on robotics and providing a platform for them to exhibit their ideas.

     

                               EVENT 1:    QUIZ

• ØThe first of the events is quiz in the robotics theme. Conducted to test the knowledge of participants on basics of robotics.The participant will be intimated well ahead of the test the contents for quiz and the ebook from which he has to prepare. 

     

The format of the quiz is expected to be like this:

 The first round is the online round.

·         This is selection round. ·         The quiz will be conducted online ·         The students who scored more than cutoff mark will be allowed for further rounds. ·         The content for the quiz will be decided by the quiz master and will be intimated to participants well before from the prescribed e book.

       

 The 2nd round is the QUIZ MASTER round.

·         In this round the quiz master divides the participants into teams (2 members each). ·         This round contains various sub rounds such as oral questions, picture round, audio/video rounds and written round. ·         Pictures and some of the questions will be taken from the daily English newspapers.

    

ü The 3rd round is the score ur best round.

·         This round contains all the sub rounds in 2nd round as oral questions, picture round, audio/video rounds and written round. ·         Another sub round known as JAM (just a minute) will be added for extra scoring of the teams.

    

v  JUST A MINUTE is that round in which the participant is expected to face an audience and speak about robotics for a minute. v  The choice of the topic is left to the participant and he can continue for a maximum of 2 minutes if interested. v  The marks will be awarded by judge considering the confidence, content and posture of the participant.

         

                                                                        

ü The final round is 'I ASK U WIN' round.

è This round contains all the rounds in the 3rd round . è An extra round will be added ,in that the participants are given a chance to quiz their co-participants, one team questions the other. è It is the responsibility of the organizers to make sure that there is healthy competition among participants. è The choice of left to content is the team which is being quizzed. è Winners are announced basing on their score
